Top 10 Movie Scenes #5: A Lot Like Love: I'm Engaged

WGBW, a great scene coming for you tonight. It's from A Lot Like Love (Full Screen Edition) (which I previously reviewed here). The scene is when Ashton Kutcher's company bottoms out and he moves back home and figures out that he wants to make moves on Amanda Peet. He finds out where she lives and sings I'll Be There for You to her. She tells him she's engaged and it's D-E-vastating. When they say goodbye it's one of the saddest scenes in movie history. It's not quite the tearjerker that the last Friends episode was, but it's close. "I guess when I'm an old man I'll never have to wonder what if.."
