One Missed Call

1) It was worse than I remember. A bunch of really bad scary movies start out really tight and then go south quickly. Add this one to the list.

2) There was a whole bunch of dumb stuff. The people that die have a candy in their mouth, and theres these hodgepodge of little girls that somehow either are responsible for people dying or protect them. It doesn't make any sense.

3) I'm kind of confused how the plot is that much different from The Ring (Widescreen Edition). You get a call, you die, theres just no scary little girl in this one.

4) After some investigation by Markster I learned this movie has a 0% on rotten tomatoes lol.

5) For as bad as it was, it's hard for the teen thriller stuff to go too to bad for me,

The Leprechaun

Wgbw. Dear god was this a bad one.

1) I dunno how anyone thought this guy was scary. I know I've obvi gotten a lot of slack for being afraid of Chucky, but this guy is past the point of jitsu. In the first 2 Child's Play movies, Chucky was made out to be scary. I'm not sure that anyone is trying to make the Leprechaun scary here.

2) How did Jennifer Aniston get her big break into Friends here?

3) They killed the leprechaun by shooting him with a wad of gum with a four leaf clover on it. Am I missing something? I thought the four leaf clover was lucky.

4) And how goofy is the Leprechaun's reason for trying to get everybody, I mean he wants all of his gold. I don't think there's ever been another scary movie where the killer just wants his gold coins.

Ahyaya,

The Strangers

Whats good blog world, just added a new feature to the blog. It's got it's own TWITTER.

Anywho, just realized me and @clozer were gonna review this one but it never materialized. I think I can speak for us all when I say that this one was scary.

1) The people that just stand around and stare are always creepy as hell to me, especially when they have these spooky masks on. There's a youtube video you can see here that makes me think I'm not the only person who gets spooked out by this.

2) The part where you first see the stranger walk up behind Liv Tyler is one of the spookiest scenes of all time.

3) The trailer actually might be scarier than the actual movie (you can see it here as well). Me and @imbricker went to go see Prom Night (Unrated) in theaters and this was a preview. Prom Night wasn't scary at all (still surprised I got DB to come with me to that) but dear god did this trailer scare me.

4) There were some stupid parts. I don't think a stalker would actually sit on the swingset swinging while you were trying to run away from them. The "because you were home" line was also kinda silly.

Regardless it was still SCARY STUFF

Top 10 Movie Scenes #1: Bad Boys: the Intro

Sorry blog fans for the lack of a climactic ending, but there's no question about what's number 1. I've repped this scene/movie so much just because it's so tight and I'm sure you regular viewers won't be surprised about it. You can see my previous thoughts on it here, but I'll post the link again.

I did forget that one time some guy came up to me in a bar because he thought I was talking shit on Wesley Snipes lol. After I told him I was just yelling about this scene he thought I was awesome.

Top 10 Movie Scenes #2: 8 Mile: The Final Rap Battles

How good were these scenes? 8 Mile's my favorite movie of all time and this is definitely part of it. The video pretty much speaks for itself. The last part against Papa Doc is top notch. 313! (Sorry for the bad quality lol).

Top 10 Movie Scenes #3: The Notebook: Why Didn't You Write Me?

Alright blog world, there's a bunch of girly movies with good shit in them but this ones the best. The scene takes place a bunch of years after they fell in love. She gets engaged but she sees his picture in the paper so she goes to visit. They go recreationally rowing but it starts to rain. Then she asks him WHY HE NEVER WROTE.

Well, no surprises here tweet fans. There's not a bad scene in this whole movie, but this ones a step ahead of the rest. After Mike and Marcus finally make moves against the drug lords, Marcus gets a call that the Cubans got his sister.

Top 10 (TV) Scenes Honorable Mention: Friends: Did She Get Off the Plane

It's hard for me to go through the top 10 scenes without mentioning a non movie one. The greatest scene in the greatest TV show in this history of the world: Friends. In the series finale Rachel leaves for her new job in Paris despite Ross hunting her down at the airport and telling her that he still loves her. A dejected Ross returns home only to find out that SHE GOT OFF THE PLANE. It doesn't get better then this BW

**Edit**- I forgot to mention. When they kiss here the same music plays that played when they had their first kiss. #themoreyouknow

Top 10 Movie Scenes #5: A Lot Like Love: I'm Engaged

WGBW, a great scene coming for you tonight. It's from A Lot Like Love (Full Screen Edition) (which I previously reviewed here). The scene is when Ashton Kutcher's company bottoms out and he moves back home and figures out that he wants to make moves on Amanda Peet. He finds out where she lives and sings I'll Be There for You to her. She tells him she's engaged and it's D-E-vastating. When they say goodbye it's one of the saddest scenes in movie history. It's not quite the tearjerker that the last Friends episode was, but it's close. "I guess when I'm an old man I'll never have to wonder what if.." Attached is the clip bw,it goes till about the 2 minute mark.

Top 10 Movie Scenes #6: Bad Boys 2: Reggie Comes to the Door

WGBF, continuing on with the countdown. This one's not too surprising and it's generally well reviewed by the fans. It's in Bad Boys II when Reggie comes to take out Martin Lawrence's daughter. Really good stuff. It's also sandwiched right after the first time Will Smith says BAD BOYS FOR LIFE which is super tight.

Anywho, here's the video, it's tight.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

Wgbf, sorry for the delays. Been busy with a bunch of school stuff. I'm still busy but having a hard time concentrating right now lol. The countdown will go on, but I just saw this and thought I'd schwangle it.

1) A pretty jitsu movie overall. I think the stupid looking poster gives it away. I don't know why they can't just have him keep making it rain at Camp Chrystal Lake. Deciding to let him manifest himself in all these other people is kind of jitsu.

2) To be honest, I've watched this movie 3 times and still don't know what happens. He gets in the other dude but then that bounty hunter guy keeps preventing him from dying? I'm not even sure how he dies at the end.

3) The tight part is when Freddy's hand comes out of the ground and pulls his mask down. I don't know how they would've imagined the sequel 13 years ahead of time, but props on that.

It was a turd but the Friday the 13th movies are tight,
